Position Information
Winthrop Position Title | Technology Services Office (TSO) Asst - FY24 |

Job Purpose | Acts as general assistant in the TSO in service to university constituents who seek assistance with the technology supported by Winthrop University either through calls or in-person. |
Duties and Responsibilities | Duties will vary based on individual skills and experience. Actual assignment may include a combination of: • Processing requests for Winthrop ID cards • Processing Scantron requests (printing or scoring) • Creating login accounts. • Assisting clients with tier 1 support for accounts and supported devices • Accurately logging all TSO tickets using the defined tracking system. • Monitoring tracking system for critical response issues and routing accordingly. |
Qualifications | • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Good problem solving skills. • Ability to work with or without direct supervision. |
Preferred Skills | • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for support, reporting, and documentation. • Previous customer service experience strongly desired. • Professional demeanor. • Ability to handle a dynamic work environment; remain productive during slow times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations. |
