Job Purpose | Reporting to the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, the Director of Assessment facilitates the assessment efforts of the university’s academic, administrative and student support units. |

Required Qualifications | Master’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, assessment and evaluation, social sciences, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution. At least three years of direct experience in higher education assessment, curricular and co-curricular assessment, or student success; experience working with planning/assessment software; and experience working with faculty and staff to identify appropriate assessment efforts. |
Preferred Qualifications | Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education, curriculum and instruction, assessment and evaluation, social sciences, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution. Five years of direct experience in higher education assessment, curricular and co-curricular assessment, or student success; teaching experience—formally or informally through various assessment initiatives; and experience drafting/assisting with SACSCOC compliance reports. |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Summary | Knowledge of the assessment process and its application to academic, administrative and student support units. Working knowledge of SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment and successfully coordinate a broad range of activities and manage multiple concurrent short- and long-term projects. Proven ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies. Must demonstrate high degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. |
